Clinical Counseling · West Warwick, RI
I help adults untangle anxiety, depression, and the weight of past trauma — so you can move through your days with clarity and steadiness instead of dread.
What I Treat
Constant worry, racing thoughts, and physical tension are exhausting. I help you build practical tools to quiet the noise and reclaim your calm.
Feeling stuck, numb, or drained for no clear reason is more common than you think. Together we'll uncover what's underneath and find a way forward.
Trauma lives in the body and reshapes how you experience safety. I use evidence-based approaches to help you process and integrate painful experiences.
Career changes, loss, relationship shifts — transitions can destabilize even the strongest people. I provide grounded support during periods of profound change.
Whether it's setting boundaries, navigating conflict, or ending a relationship, I help you understand your patterns and build healthier ways of connecting.
Chronic self-doubt and people-pleasing are survival strategies, not character flaws. We'll trace where they started and help you build a more honest relationship with yourself.
My Approach
I draw from CBT, EMDR, and somatic approaches — but I don't treat you like a checklist. Every session is tailored to what you actually need in the room, not what looks good on paper.
Therapy with me is direct but gentle. I'll challenge you when it matters, sit with you in the hard moments, and never pretend I have all the answers — because the answers are already in you. My job is to help you hear them.

About
I'm Susan Wright, a licensed mental health counselor based in West Warwick. Over the years, I've worked with hundreds of people who walked in convinced they were too broken, too much, or too far gone to get better.
They weren't.
My practice is built on the conviction that healing isn't about fixing something that's broken — it's about helping you remember what was always there beneath the pain: your own capacity for resilience, clarity, and genuine connection.
"You don't have to carry this alone. Asking for help isn't the end of strength — it's the beginning."
If you're reading this, something in you knows it's time. Let's talk about what that looks like — no pressure, no judgment, just a real conversation about whether we're the right fit.
